Flooding in Downtown Charlotte, NC

The damage done to this building was mainly flood damage. Because it was a large warehouse, with concrete flooring, there was not as much demolition the had to be done. Having to deal with the humidity of the room was a real concern. Concrete flooring can soak up a lot of water and take many days to dry out.

Drying out a Concrete Floor

When you dry out a concrete floor you need a lot of air movement and dehumidification. The large dehumidifiers take the moisture out of the air causing more water to come out of the flooring. The air movement speeds up the evaporation process.
